Important Safety Information

The Isolaz® System is indicated to treat mild to moderate acne, including pustular acne, comedonal acne and mild to moderate inflammatory acne (acne vulgaris) in all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI).

Isolaz uses broadband light that can cause injury. Exposure to intense pulsed light (IPL) requires eye protection suited to the wavelength. The patient, operator, and attending personnel should wear protective eyewear with proper optical density (≥1 at 400-1200nm) during the treatment.

Do not use Isolaz on patients who:

  • Have cancer, including malignant melanoma or recurrent non-melanoma skin cancer, or pre-cancerous lesions such as multiple dysplastic nevi, or other suspicious lesions in the treatment area;
  • Are predisposed to keloid formation, excessive scarring, or poor wound healing; or
  • Have used isotretinoin within the past 6 months.

    Improper use of Isolaz may cause personal injury or damage to the system. See the Operator Manual for detailed directions, proper use, and full risk and safety information.
